NYC Marathon Photos
Danced across the finish line again...5:13.27 net. Today was brightroom picture day, a chance to see how disgusting you look throughout 26.2 miles on the streets. Hey, not bad.
Congratulations on completing the NYC Marathon, the pictures are great! My knee is hurting a bit, but I'm still taking Osteo Bi-Flex. Walking up the stairs is easy, but some of the old pain returns when I walk down them. Thank you so much for asking.
Marathon Maniacs #6697, 11-time marathoner hoping to make a positive difference in the world. I'm also that MLB.com dude in 12th year with Major League Baseball Advanced Media, and you can follow me @Marathoner.
On Dec. 1, 2006, the year I lost my Dad, I moved to an NYC Upper West Side brownstone next to Central Park, walked out to the corner of 73rd and Columbus, and broke a box of KOOLs in half. I went to a running store and bought a box of ASICS to replace them. I joined New York Road Runners, entered 10Ks and Halfs, and made it my goal to run the NYC Marathon within one year. Five years later, I donated a dozen pair of retired running shoes to Soles 4 Souls, and vowed to keep pouring it on. In 2012 I ran Miami/Paris/Harrisburg Marathons, and in February 2013 I fnished Fort Lauderdale A1A for my 11th race of 26.2 or longer and joined Marathon Maniacs (#6697). Running transformed my life in every way, giving me confidence, including the ability to meet my beautiful wife of two years, to be a FINISHER in life and live with energy and the knowledge that you can accomplish anything. I run to live as long as I can live and the best that I can live, and I invite any other runners or aspiring runners to follow me @Marathoner on Twitter. Finish Strong!
